All vehicles purchased outside Massachusetts must first be registered with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts before driving them in the state. Unfortunately, due to a lack of information and “unique” State Laws, when we have a customer purchase a vehicle out of state and then drive it back into MA – without previously registering the vehicle in MA – they are driving illegally. Not to worry though, we are going to arm you with the correct information to help you get out on the road, legally and avoid many of the common pitfalls. The way Massachusetts manages the registration of a vehicle is unique and can often cause a significant amount of confusion – especially if you are new to the state. Purchasing a vehicle and navigating Massachusetts regulations around license plates is one. Many things that come up daily that create problems for our customers.
